I reviewed the application file, and spoke with multiple members of staff.
Developers and big corporate landlords in Ward 2 are increasingly using “minor variances” to bypass Planning Committee – challenging the concept of what is minor in planning.
The Committee of Adjustment voted to not approve the conversions, citing that the Committee does not have the power to amended site specific zoning amendments.
Library Board votes to extend hours at five branches, and to study a plan to implement more service hours in the 2018 budget year.
New pilot will extend hours at rural Freelton Branch with no staff onsite staff, instead a remote librarian connected by video conference.
