The Hamilton Farmer Market hours and days of operation will change after Labour Day.
The Market will now open on Wednesdays, shifting from Tuesdays to be open Wednesdays to Saturdays.
Wednesday and Thursday hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Market Board of Directors approved the new hours during a June 26, 2023, meeting.
The change follows over three years of the market operating using hours implemented at the height of the COVID pandemic.
Newer vendors in the Market have told the Board that COVID hours made it hard for people to shop there.
Market hours, and vendors not operating during Market hours, have been an ongoing issue for the city-owned Market.
