REALTORS Association of Hamilton-Burlington is merging with the associations in Mississauga, Simcoe, and Waterloo Region to form a new association named the “Cornerstone Association of REALTORS®.”
The planned merger was publicly announced today, with Hamilton-Burlington realtor Julie Sergi elected chair.
The merger will be completed on July 1st.
The Realtors Association is one of the more active lobby organizations interacting with the City of Hamilton. With the merger, the new association will have more resources. It will likely have a more regional approach to planning, land use, municipal regulations, and a host of issues related to their industry.
