The developer who owns the large parking lot on the northwest corner of Wilson Street and John Street North has filed their full planning  Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment applications to redevelop the site into three tall buildings.

On January 18, 2022, they applied to demolish the vacant building at 97 John Street North.

City staff are recommending the demolition permit be issued.

The development application is now in the final stages of Site Plan Submission review following a successful presentation to Hamilton’s Design Review Panel in July.
