The Province announced a $100-million fund for municipal greenhouse gas reduction, and City of Hamilton staff have completed a list of recommended projects to submit for funding.
Among the 39 projects staff are recommending to apply to the fund for are:
- 50% of $1.5-million for expanding the Hamilton Bike Share and “modal integration”;
- 50% of $6-million for the rehabilitation of the Ken Soble Tower at 500 MacNab North;
- 25% of $2.2-million to connect the new Hamilton Police Forensic building to the new East Downtown Energy District; and
- 25% of $3-million for the Central Library Window replacement.
