Hamilton’s Chief Planner told a gathering of developers they must secure permission from the City’s real estate office prior to submitting development plans to the Planning Division if they include public unassumed alleyways in their plans.
DILG will discuss the City’s plans to offer digital submission for planning applications, the City’s Park and Open Space Development Guide, the Downtown Hamilton Secondary Plan, Zoning By-law and Tall Buildings Guidelines, the City’s phase-out of development incentives in the Central Business District (Downtown Hamilton), and other issues that will be placed on the agenda by staff and industry representatives.
The meeting is Monday at 9am, I’ll be covering it.
The agenda for this Liaison Group is not publicly available in advance of the meeting. The Public Record will attend at the beginning of the meeting. At 9:30am, Council Public Works Committee is also meeting.
Inclusionary Zoning is the only item on the agenda for this special meeting of Planning and Economic Development’s Development Industry Liaison Group meeting.
This is the first public opportunity for the development industry to publicly ask city staff questions on IZ and how staff are planning to approach the matter in an expected report to Council.
