Hamilton’s Design Review Panel is meeting on Thursday July 14, which is news on its own since the last time they met was in March and previous to that, December.
Two developments on the agenda – a proposed student residences at 210 Main Street East and a mixed-use development on the former All-Saints Church at 15 Queen Street South on the southeast corner with King Street.

210 Main Street East, Hamilton

The present site of the Days Inn Hamilton, a block and a half  is presenting to DRP in a “pre-consultation” setting to get feedback on their proposed project for  a “student residency”.
This session is scheduled for 3:10pm at City Hall and is open to the public for observation only.

15 Queen Street South, Hamilton

Also a pre-consultation, the Anglican Diocese of Niagara is presenting their plans for the former site of All Saints Anglican Church to DRP. The proposal was originally made public in 2009 at 12 stories. The Strathcona neighbourhood rumour-mill is saying the Diocese is looking to go taller.
This session is scheduled for 4:25pm at City Hall and is open to the public for observation only.

Note: The Public Record does not record or broadcast DRP meetings. At present, the process is still fairly new and it is not clear if a camera would diminish the goals of these meetings which is a frank and lively discussion of early renderings and proposals
