The Hamilton Police Service’s annual Paid Duties report says the service was contracted 1,911 times for paid duty events in 2023, an increase of 15.47 percent compared to 1,655 events in 2023. The Police Service collected $797,164.69 in “administrative fees and cost recovery” in 2023, an increase of 45.69 percent compared to 2022. The administrative fee is 20 percent of the “total amount charged for officers and equipment.”
HPS collected a total of $2,885,959.57 in revenue.
