BRIEF: Ontario AG To Release Special Report on Changes to Greenbelt

Buckle up.

Ontario Auditor General Bonnie Lysyk will release her office’s report into the events surrounding the decision by Premier Doug Ford to break his election promise to maintain the Greenbelt.

The release is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. this coming Wednesday, August 9.

Numerous media outlets have reported about land speculators and developers paying premiums to purchase Greenbelt land for development before the government announced changes.

Naturally, the chatter in Queen’s Park circles about what the report may contain is ripe with speculation.
