Steve Ostrowski is registered to lobby Hamilton City Council to pitch buying conceptual hybrid buses with rubber and steel wheels to operate on the B-Line corridor instead of light rail trains.
The Hamilton LRT project funding is for building and operating a light-rail transit system.
Ostrowski’s idea would require more buses to carry the same number of passengers as LRT, resulting in higher operating costs than light rail.
There are no manufacturers of Ostrowski’s hybrid buses.
