Watching Groundhog Day in my University of Toronto office on February 2, 2020

It is Groundhog Day, insert obvious witty lines referencing the movie. I viewed it in theatres and immediately loved it. In 2006, it was an episode about the movie which hooked me to the podcast Radio Open Source.

Today at City Hall, it is Planning Committee.

It is a light agenda, in part because the number of planning applications decreased last year. Of note, the legalization of a six-dwelling unit at 130 Wellington Street South. City planning staff are recommending approval. There is also a motion to ask the Province to implement regulations requiring notification to municipalities of details related to demolitions. This followings the significant air pollution event of September 30th 2019, when an errant demolition by American Iron and Metal (AIM) occurred at 319 Sherman Ave. N.
