Brown Wharf Development Corp’s appeal of the Downtown Hamilton Secondary Plan continues at the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal. Last week the LPAT issued an order following a video case management conference hearing on January 20.

Brown Wharf owns a series of properties along Main Street West between Queen Street and Hess Street which are significantly impacted by the DTSP height limit of the escarpment.

The City and Brown Wharf continue to negotiate over issues to be address in the hearing. There are ongoing settlement talks as well.

The two sides will exchange reports and studies in the coming months.

The next LPAT case management conference in this matter is scheduled for April 27, 2021.
