The agenda for next Wednesday August 9th City Council special LRT General Issues Committee is now public with staff stating they will update Council on the Ministry of Environment’s response to the City’s amended Environmental Project Report for the LRT to extend east to Eastgate Square.
Ward 3 Councillor Matthew Green’s motion to “advise” Metrolinx that the LRT “should” be operated by the Hamilton’s transit division, the HSR, is listed as a notice of motion.
The meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. at City Hall.
The union representing HSR workers is holding a rally starting at 8am in front of City Hall stating “Councillor Matthew Green has introduced a proposal into City Council in support of our campaign. We need your help to push council to vote in support of this resolution
