City of Hamilton Gives Replaced Fire Gear to Firefighters Without Borders

A good news story out of City Hall. Hamilton’s Fire Department is giving used firefighting gear – which is scheduled for disposal in according with National Fire Protection Association standards – to Firefighters Without Borders.
FWB gives the equipment to other countries that have little to no firefighting equipment.
It’s a win-win for the all involved, the City saves on disposal costs, and the equipment (while not ideal) is able to assist firefighting in other nations.
