UPDATED post meeting.
The Truck Route Sub-Committee defers discussion of trucks on Centennial Parkway South to a future meeting, amending the truck route schedule of the roads bylaw to allow MTO farm license plated trucks to operate anywhere in the rural area, and added the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway officially to the City’s truck routes.
The majority of the meeting was devoted to discussing changing the bylaw to allow farm trucks to use any rural road. (This debate is covered in a separate story “Truck Route Sub-Committee Votes for Blanket Exemption for Farm-Plated Trucks in Rural Hamilton“)
