Exterior conceptual design render for the new Carlisle branch Credit: Handout / GRGURIC architects

The former TD bank branch in Hamilton’s Carlisle community is being converted into a library branch following the donation of the building and land by TD to the Hamilton Public Library earlier this year.
The Hamilton Public Library released the proposed site plan for the branch last week.
Of note, the HPL is planning a outdoor covered reading patio. The branch will be designed for unstaffed extended hours access.
The HPL hopes to tender the construction contract later this year, and for construction to begin in Spring 2021.
